I have a Night Owl rose that I want to remove. It needs to be pruned back, but other wise is in good shape. I don't have anywhere else to move it to, so I thought I would post on here and see if anyone wanted it. JLMK
Anyone want a Night Owl Rose in Houston?
Shuggins ~ I'd not heard of this so went to look at it in the PlantFiles. There, I found a DGr in DeerPark that was wanting one of them. Not sure how close that is but you might want to Dmail her. http://davesgarden.com/community/trading/search.php?search_text=PFPID:138484 Good luck!
Thanks. Deer Park is probably at least an hour from us, so not sure if it would be worth it, but might drop her a dmail just in case. Thanks again.
How far do you live from Conroe? I am interested if you still have it.
Bonnie
I live in NW Houston off 290. Probably about 45 minutes from you. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.
Shuggins,
How big is the plant?
Bonnie
It has branches that are well over 6 foot. I can take a pic of it tonight and post it.
Sheila
I am thinking I would have to talk my husband into coming with his pickup to pick it up. Where do you live off of 290?
I think we are going to be coming over to a computer recycling center off of Brittmore sometime soon to drop off some old computer parts.
We live near 290/Barker Cypress. If you cut it back, I am sure it would fit in a car and we could just bag the root ball with a garbage bag to keep it from making a mess. If that helps any. I am really only available on the weekend, but if nothing else, I could dig it for you and then put it out front if I knew you were coming. It would be better if you could come at the beginning of the week if that is the case because I will have to dig it on the weekend. Anyway, if you are interested, I am sure that we can work something out.
ok, I will get back with you before the weekend.
BTW, it doesn't necessary have to be this weekend.
Well, since I don't really have a place to put it at the moment my husband has convinced me I shouldn't drive across Houston to pick it up. Thank you anyway. I hope you find a nice home for it!
Bonnie
if you don't find a home for it let me know my daughter lives in Humble on the humble westfield rd and works over at Baker Hughes so I could make a trip on a Saturday down and find you LOL
or maybe get someone coming to the east texas Ru in may to bring it with them But only if no one else wants it first
Mibus2...Well no one has shown any interest, except Bonnie. If you would like it, then we can plan on that. Humble is still about 45 minutes from us (just so you know). Funny things, seems like everything is about 45 minutes from us....LOL! Anyway, you are welcome to it. Send me a dmail and we can work it out. Thanks.
Hi Shuggins,
is this rose still available? If so, can you tell me what kind of light conditions it needs? I have to figure out if I have a good spot for it, because it looks like a great plant!
thanks!
Heather
p.s. did you ever take a picture of it?
I think I have some one who would like it, but if that doesn't work out, I will let you know.
As far as light, mine is in full sun (roses require at least 6 hours of full sun to grow well, I believe). You will definitely need something for it to climb.
I never did get around to taking a picture, but if the other person doesn't take it, I will gt a picture for you.
Thanks,
Sheila
great - let me know! :)
