Lookie what I got!

I got a box of amazingly nice hibbies from Martindale Nursery. Gorgeous plants, I wish I had a thousand dollars to buy all they have to offer. Several had big ol buds on them. I didnt get them planted for a day or two, and stood this one up in the box last night. Look what I awoke this morning to. isnt it wonderful??? I know someone is going to ask me who it is, and I can't remember. I planted it outside with its tag this afternoon, and can't remember its name for the life of me. Good thing there's tags.

That's really pretty - I'm waiting on the one's I ordered thru a co-op - it'll be my first round with hibiscus - hope they are as pretty as that one. Thanks for sharing

Im waiting on the coop hibbies too. They were supposed to be send last week, but no one has received them.

Nice hibiscus plant and bloom Kathy. I'm guessing its Hibiscus "Briar Patch" but it's just a guess. I'm so jealous one of the quality retailers is in your area within driving distance.

Jon, you are amazing! You are exactly right, it is Briar Patch. And I didnt even realize he was within driving distance of me. That could be a very dangerous thing.

I could live happily under the greenhouse benches at Martindale's, peering up at all the lovely flower faces, living the life of a mud gnome.

I emailed Martindale Nursery and asked them if they were open to the public. He answered that he wasnt, but that I was welcome to come browse around if I let them know I am coming before hand. I will ask him if I can bring a camera, and then maybe this weekend or next week Ill go visit and take some photos. Remind me to leave my credit card at home!!

Nothing smells like a greenhouse in the morning. It smells like...victory...
