How do I preserve my home-grown herbs?

Dallastown, PA(Zone 6a)

Is there a website or some other source that would explain how I can preserve my home-grown herbs? This is my first year growing my own herbs (from seeds) and I'd like to be able to use them year-round. But, the seed packages only state 'drying or drying and freezing'. I have a billion and one questions and thought maybe it would be easier to have a more permanent reference to always look back on. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! :)

Great link, Thanks

I freeze them or make herb vinegars... my first 3 DG articles were about herbs, and this one tells how I save them for later use: http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/111/

I love your username... "Love, Light, and Laughter" is a favorite phrase of ours (used it on the front of our wedding program and on DH's favorite painted mug!), and I grew up in Pittsburgh! :-)

Welcome to DG!
