Is This Pineapple Mint?

Denton, TX(Zone 7b)

I just got this plant that is supposed to be Pineapple mint. However, it has very, very tiny leaves. Maybe a couple leaves have a slight variegation. I thought Pineapple mint had larger leaves with obvious white markings. Can someone tell me if this is pineapple mint or some other kind?

Doesnt look like it is to me as I do not see the variegation in the leaves.

Sorry.... but that doesn't look anything like my Pineapple mint.
Even in a 4 inch pot the leaves would be much larger, looks more like a Corsican mint or Penny Royal.
Does it smell minty?

Does it smell like pineapple? When I first purchased mine they were just slightly varigated with small leaves. Now that I have put them in a large pot the varigation is more obvious and leaves are bigger.

I was told that the foliage will start out tiny with very little varigation. The colder it is, the tinier it is. Then as the plant matures, the foliage gets larger and more varigated. Mine is now looking like it should....big leaves and lots of cream coloring on the leaves. Will try to take a picture of it.

I use to have something called pinapple sage. It looked like that. Maybe that is what it is.

Not pineapple sage, I have that in my yard. I had no idea there was a pineapple mint. Does it really have a pineapple flavor or just the scent?

Yes, there is a pineapple mint and yes, it does have the scent. I honestly can't say it tasted that strong.

I have some pineapple mint and the leaves on mine are tiny. The variegation is on the outside edges of the leaves which will be easier to see when the leaves get bigger.
