I tried a flapjack recipe, I found in the internet, which seemed simple and straight forward...I added some left over oil and nuts...I know the recipe said stand over it and watch it when it turns dark, but I am not the kind of person who likes to wait 10 or 15 minutes when I don't have other things to do in the kitchen. In a nutshell, the flapjack cristallized...it all become crunchy muesli so to speak, not bad. I forget to say that I had replaced the oatmeal by muesli because I can't get oats here in Morocco, but that should have been ok. I am not sure I should try this recipe again and watch over it like a halk or just look for a fool-proof recipe?
OK, here is the recipe if anyone want to try and tell me how it turned out for them.
80 g brown sugar
40 g butter
60 g margarine
250 g oats
pinch of Salt
1 banana
3 tbsp honey
It bakes for 15 minutes on gas mark 5 or 220 deg Celsius.
Or has anyone a better flapjack recipe to offer? I want to store mine in a tin and use them for tea or coffee in lieuf of the usual muffins...
Thanks.
