Greetings from Tennessee,
We have just relocated here from Fl.I have lived in Fl almost my whole life so this is very different for me.
Trying to decipher the growing season here.We left behind our gardens as hard as it was I didn't want to move my beautiful roses and herbs.Looking to get into heirloom veggie and heirloom flower growing with our children.Ages 5,4 and 2.All boys :).They love sunflowers.I did bring one teddy bear sunflower head with us :).We are also going to start collection for them of a variety of sunflowers eventually :).I am interested in any advice in container gardening. For the soil is rich here though the home we are in was built on very rocky ground :).Thanks! Heidi S~

Welcome Heidi, You will find a great bunch of folks here at Daves Garden. Everyone is very generous and helpful. Good luck in your new home.
Welcome to Tennessee and to DG, Heidi! What part of the state do you live in? (We have several DGers living in this state, including our fearless leaders Dave and Trish, who are in the Eastern part of the state.)
Glad to have you here!!!
Thought I would say hello as well. I haven't been here this long, but I had noticed Dave's home. I have lived in Florida since 1976, but I was raised in Maryville, Tennessee. My heart will always belong to the soft, smoke shrouded Smokies.
A big English welcome to you!! I hope you enjoy this place as much as everyone else does!
