Herb Cuttings?

Kemptville, CDN Zone, ON(Zone 4a)

Hello,

I'm looking to start a culinary herb garden and was wondering which herbs are only propagated by cuttings? So far, I've read that mint and tarragon fall under this category. Any others?

Thanks!

I'm wondering why sage is better from cuttings --do you mean easier to propagate that way?

I just germinated some from seed -- Salvia officinalis, the common garden gray sage for cooking -- and lol felt so proud! hahaha

Noob seedster here though been gardening otherwise for ages.....

That's how I got sage one time. Only the seeds were supposed to be something else. It took me a long time to ID what I had. I knew it wasn't what I was supposed to have.

LOL! Well, I did know this time what I was sowing, unless the package was mislabeled, but it was from a commercial outfit so I kinda doubt it was.

Sorry,
I was thinking of the hybrid sages like Newe Ya'ar
