Hi - I am new to Houston and I am wondering if its possible to grow Heliconias in this climate. I haven't seen them talked about much. Also, I was wondering if its possible to grow 'red ginger' (alpinia purpurata) here. I have seen quite a few other gingers here, but I haven't come across that one yet.
