Hi everyone.
I had no idea there were so many different hibiscus. I have 2 trees, kinda blush orange, about 5' and two smaller ones, one has red and orange flowers on the same plant., I bought these from Wally world. Can anyone point me to where I can find seed for the gorgeous ones listed here. I am a Senior and cannot afford much. I have a total of 6 or so that are mostly the same color. I bring them in each fall and winter them over. I have had some winter flowers, but not a lot. This has to be one of my favorite flowers and now that I see the different ones--I want I want.

If you're looking for some of the specific varieties that you've seen here they don't come true from seed so you won't find seed for them. But if you're not picky about exactly what they look like, the American Hibiscus Society usually has seeds available for free--you just won't know what they'll look like until they grow up and bloom for you. http://www.americanhibiscus.org/seedbank.htm Be careful if you go out seed shopping on Ebay--there are some scam artists out there who show pictures that have been Photoshopped so the flower doesn't even exist in the first place, and even if it did, it wouldn't come true from seed. So I'd advise before you buy any seeds off of Ebay post a link here and let some of the experts here take a look for you to make sure the seller is legitimate.
Thank you for your info. I did visit the website and left my name and email address. Waiting now for a reply. I wish I had your info before I ordered from eBay. Who knows what I will end up with, I ordered several different kinds. I did receive some in my newbie pkg so will let you know what happens. I grow them in pots, then bring in for the winter. The only ones I have in my flower beds (they come back) are white with burgandy centers, and they aren't the huge ones. Anyway, thank you. God Bless, Lee
Do you remember the Ebay seller's name? Someone here could take a look and tell you if they're legit or not. The usual sign of a legitimate seller is they will list the names of the parent plants and they will either not have a picture at all, or they'd be clear that it's pictures of the parent plants not of what your seeds would look like. The scammers will post a photoshopped picture of a hibiscus and imply that your seeds will grow up to look like that. There are some legit sellers on Ebay as well as the scammers so maybe you got lucky.
