Does anyone have a clue?
One was able to order Butterfly host plants and now when I go to their site it just has one page with stained glass items. There were several plants she had there you couldn't get anywhere else :(
What happened to Shady Oak Butterfly Farm?

Hello Denise :)
Thank you very much! I finally called them up and wanted to know what happened to their addy at DG Watchdog. They said the addy is wrong there so I just wrote to admin again to give them the home addy for them...

I had ordered 2 Rue and 2 False Nettle from them a few months ago...so when I went to look at their website again to see if I wanted to order anymore host plants, I paniced when all I saw was stained glass...Yikes! LOL
I still find it very strange that for a native plant...and a great host plant for Butterflies (False Nettle) why nobody else has this plant but them!!!
Shoot, if we had the space and all, it would be a great way to bring in extra $$$. I'm just greatful to be able to just have the 2 plants...Whew! What a relief! :)

To those of you that would like to have False Nettle as a host plant, here is another way of having the plant...by growing it from seed. I started this thread in the Native plants forum due to my being concerned about the order I placed with Shady Oak Butterfly Farm. I was relieved to know that I'm still getting my False Nettle plants with them, but as a back-up, I'm also going to get seeds from the nursery mentioned in this thread. For most it may sound silly to do both, but when a plant isn't readily available, and it's one you really want, it's a good thing!
Anyhoo, here's the addy to that thread...

That's funny. Apparently it's easier to get Stinging Nettle!
