Forcing Daffodils

A friend gave me the cutest little daffs in bloom. I have never forced bulbs before. What should I do with them when the blooms are gone ? Should I plant them in the garden for the summer ?

Daffodils that are forced then planted in the garden have had a pretty good success rate in my garden. They won't re-surface till next spring when they may or may not bloom, but left alone they will undoubtedly bloom the following year.
The clumps pictured were forced in year's past.
