Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society will be hosting its second annual Texas Native Plant Sale on Saturday, April 18 from 9 AM to 3 PM at Baylor University. Last year's sale was a smashing success, with over 1,000 plants and 50 species sold. This year's sale looks to be even better, with at least 85 species of perennials, grasses, shrubs, succulents, and small ornamental trees represented. Most of the plants are in 4", quart, and 1 gallon sizes. Prices are plant-specific but are very competitive. All plants are grown from seed or from cuttings taken from excellent parent plants. Most importantly, all plants are native to Texas!

Wow, wish I could make it. We are Baylor grads, and my husband would love to come see a tennis match or baseball game.
I will have to check this out! I am on campus three times a week and that would be fun to go to. Good to know that this is going on.
Are the selections plentiful? I want one of each!!!
bloomlover,
Yes, we have good numbers of most of the species, especially the perennials. Hope you can make it. Bring some friends!
For those traveling to Waco for the sale and concerned about the weather:
RAIN OR SHINE, THE SALE IS ON!
The sale will be set up under a specatacular covered area in the Baylor Sciences Building Plaza (where the sale has been planned all along). So, although you may get a bit wet walking a short distance from the parking lot to the sale, the plants themselves will be sheltered from the rain.
Hope this ameliorates any concerns. See you there.
What street is the Science Plaza on? I went by the area yesterday but I can't remember where it is.
The Baylor Science Building (BSB) plaza entrance is on Speight very close to its intersection with Bagby. The flyer (link above) has a map illustrating the location of the sale.
