This one has proven difficult to ID as well. Taken at the Detroit Zoo and I've tried to find it listed on any other zoo sites (and many others) without luck. Any ideas?
CLOSED: Just one more for now.
Alright, a lot of searching/browsing leads me to believe it's a Robin-Chat. It's not a white-browed, but I don't know if it's a snowy-crowned or white-crowned or even another.
I'm leaning toward snowy, because the white-crowned seems to have a full cap and the one in my photo only has a thin, single white stripe. What do you think?
Took me a load of checking too! Snowy-crowned Robin-chat Cossypha niveicapilla, from tropical Africa.
White-crowned Robin-chat can be excluded because that doesn't have the orange collar, the black cheeks join onto the blackish back.
Resin
Yes, you're absolutely right Resin. Thank-you for confirming for me.
