They are so pretty. I love Orpingtons. Do the Blue/Black/Splash have the same temperament as the Buff?

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Oh boy!!!! They are so soft looking. I would love to rub them in my checks like wittle powder puffs. Okay that sounded creepy...but I really love the feel of the soft fuzz. I luv the colors! They are gorgeous!!!

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

Ya not the only one!! I do that too..rub them on my face..haha..

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Hi there Modene: How is Johnathan doing? Keeping him in prayer.

I don't know anything about the OP's I hear they are great sitters? I also heard that Silkies will hatch a rock/ I have a little hen and she won't even sit her own eggs.

Whats wrong with that picture? Tell me a little about your birds, I am always interested. Thanks and Congrats. Haystack

Well my son is at home right now cleaning out my yard..we have been cleaning up so much from when Hurricane Ike roared thru here last year..I have before pics of the storm and will post the new ones while we are cleaning up..you will see the diffrence..He will go back to Iraq on April 3..he decided to surprise me last week to come home and help me with all this yard work..I was so overwhelmed with all this tree limbs stuff and couple down trees. and still waiting for my house to be reroofed and painted..dang insurance keeps delaying but the payment is on the way..But all these baby chicks during the winter kepted me sane..LOL...by the way, I still have more Orps eggs to hatch..hehehehe
Will post info about them later as soon as I get pics

I hatched Blue Orps last year and ended up with one beautiful Blue Roo out of 12 eggs. He is absolutely HUGE and has the good looks to back up his size. As for his temperament, I don't much care for him - he's a bully. But that may be because he didn't have any other blue orps to co-mingle with! I recently gave him to a chicken buddy of mine to breed with his Ameraucana hens. He is still hands-down the best looking chicken I ever hatched - except for the BLR's of course! Moodene you are going to love them - best of luck...Scott
