I am an inexperienced plumeria keeper. But for the past few summers I have had some luck with them on my porch.
The picture is one I kept in my guest room for the winter with very little water. It broke dormancy several weeks ago and the new growth tips are deformed!!! The new leaves look okay. So far I have held back on watering it very much to keep it from growing too fast now. I won't be able to move it outside for about a month.
Any experienced growers know what is happening to my plant? Is there anything I can or should do about it? Or just let it grow?
Thanks in advance.
Helen
deformed
wow... I have never seen that before... I hope somebody here can help... I'll ask around for you...

I agree with Hetty. May not be enough light. If you look at the new leaves they are very washed out, no color, same with the emerging tips very light colored. It looks like the tip closest to the window, getting more light, is doing the best.

Ok, I will move it into the living room today. It will get more light there until I can put it outside in a month or so.
Thanks.

PS. My theory is a virus is causing the abnormal growth. I will post pictures as it changes.
why a virus?
tucsonplumeriaz, to say a virus may be causing the abnormal growth is a guess. I think of viruses as causing distorted growth in tissue, like warts or a burl on a tree. So I jumped to the possibility a virus is causing my plant's problem.
I suppose other microbes could be the culprit like some intratissue plant mite.
What do you think?
Helen
i thought it might be the lighting conditions. virus is a good guess, too.
I get a similar problem, thrip. My crinum are affected this year. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/871751/
