Sinningia pusilla blooming today

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

The drum roll on this bloom took over a week, but at long last here is the teensy tiny bloom of s. pusilla.

That is a plastic toothpick in there, lol...that is the plant marker :0)
On the other side of it, I have the name written with a fine paint pen

Very nice!

Where'd you get the jar?????

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Hm...not positive(because I've bought so many), but one of two places...

I go to thrift stores a lot, and also may habe gotten it at Michael's craft store. They have some really nice glass lidded terrarium jars, and this small size(about the size some q-tips would fit into), was only around 3.99

If it was thrift store, even less :0)

Thank you. I'll go looking monday.

you are welcome.

sp-I use a lot of jarred candles, how would they work for propogating episcia or begonia leaves? Of course, I'd clean them first :-)

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

hi-
I can't really say because I don't even own an episcia or begonia :0)

But, I would imagine that a cleaned candle jar would work just as well as this jar I bought. Only I think the candle lids fit more airtight, so maybe remove it every now and then for new air?

Lakeview, OR(Zone 7b)

Yes, I'm going to try it. I just assumed you had the episcias. I will taske out the plastic insert which will make the lid loose enough for air to get in. I always use the biggest size, so I think it's worth a try. And I am limited to space, that's why I thought of this.

Saly, love the picture. It's a great idea to do for the holiday emails. You are so creative with your software. I widh I had the patience to sit and figure it out. I get so disgusted when it doesn't turn out like I want.
Is that your little pooch? He or she is a cutie, if I must say. I wish my Shanghai would sit still long enough for me to dress him up for a picture. He spins around and tries to get 'rid of this mess on my head'. Doesn't sit long enough to snap a picture. LOL
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Soon you will be at 100%.

Sally-
Very cute picture. Is that a photoshop bunny ear on the birdie, or did you really find one to fit?

Here is my little Fifi last year for Easter:

Awwwwww!! Fifi is so cute. Love her pink ears and her frilly pink dress.

My doggie and basket and outfit etc were my Easter card a few years ago. They are read.
When we got Chipper, my Parrotlet, I added her to the basket with Paint Shop, then the ears on her. She sits fine for photos with Trudy all the time, but I just added her to that one.

This one is a Christmas one together.

Sweet Yorkie!

Seedpicker, Can I show my sis your Fifi pic. in an email? She has a Yorkie, Lucy.

Sally--you've outdone yourself! Your Easter basket is sooo cute! And seedpicker--Fifi is adorable! I'm a shih tzu person, but a little one like Fifi could sway me!

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure! You can send her the picture. Fifi is older now, and just had her first little one:

Here she is giving it a kiss :0)
