hyer1972, you aren't interested in Angelique, are you? I have a dusty blue sedum, too, and a "baby sedum" with tiny leaves-meaning, it a variety with tiny baby leaves. I only have one small pot of the baby one.

I am interested in Frosty morn and Black Jack.

Just out of curiosity, are you interested in kalanchoes?

Chesapeake, VA

Oh, and the dusty blue looks a lot like Angelique except the leaves are a bit smaller and the color is dusty blue.

Weston, WV(Zone 6b)

Cj, do you know the name of your Iris? I have Iris here as well ...do u have a picture cause i have a purple/white Iris with white rimmed falls.

BrightStar, is Angelique a ground cover? Would Angelique and the dusty blue be good to leave outside all yr long for my climate? Zone 6

Hi. In the Plant Files, Angelique is really Angelina. It is listed as growing as far arctic as zone 6A and 6B, but in the comments below people are growing them in rock gardens and embankments to zone 3.

Here is the comment from a DG'er in Conneticut:
"forms a nice compact dense groundcover, and cascades beautifully over the edges of my rock garden. the color is bright and clear, flowers are neat and low. has survived 2 winters so far in my zone 3 garden in full sun and gritty soil."

It likes the sun. There is a caution that if uncontained it could spread more than you would like, but I think that is from fuddy-duddys.

Only wimps are concerned with such things. REAL gardeners have machettes for that...

Just kidding. But it would be a good idea to have it bordered by edging where you don't want it to spread, and obsessive-compulsive gardeners wouldn't like this plant anyway, that is, unless they really LIKE whacking away at something or sculpting it into cute bunny shapes or something.

This isn't an issue with me because mine have always grown in pots and behaved beautifully. In any case, they are better behaved than my ivy plants which have moved from one pot to another all by themselves.

Mine turn reddish-gold at the tips in autumn, and are a nice fresh green color otherwise, which is very pretty.

I have some rooted Angelina, so let me know if you want to swap.

As far as the blue one goes, I keep thinking that the name was Blue Spruce or something like that. I think it would grow kind of slowly as a ground cover, but it would certainly be stunning.

As a ground cover, what about juniper?

I have the 'Blue Spruce' as well as the 'Angelina'. I love the bronzy color of the 'Angelina' in the fall and summer!!
