Aww what cute lil fishies. I don't have any yet but am planning my pond so I can get some. Every time we go to Home Depot (they have a pond set up with pretty fish) dh acts like he is gonna throw them some food and they all come swimming up ~ I told him "That is soooo mean" lol! The store clerks saw him doing it once and asked him if he wanted a net! Ha!

You tell that greedy old frog to move his big 'ol butt off of the lily pad and let those other poor froggies get on - they say that they want to play too!! LOL

Tropic man-very cute thread. Why are you Tropicman if you live in Kansas? Can I get a picture of the outside of your greenhouse and how large does it measure? I really want one as well . . .I can dream can't I?

Last year I had 3 large bull frogs, since I just uncovered the pond last week,I've seen them poke there noses up out of the water, but yet to see them sitting out like last year,it may need to be warmer for that.
My pond is next to the sunroom and the south side of the house, and it never freezes,in fact some times the Lilies never go dormant ,the leaves stay green all thru the winter.
Parrot feather is still green as well.
Maybe all those other frogs will join together and take Mr Frog off his lily pad!!!!LOL

Digger,is there a way to tell Male frog from Female frog?????

Dahlonega, GA

Yeh, he has a hat on and she wears a dress . lol, digger

Linda,

I have 3 greenhouses, sunroom, and a garden room attached to my home, well the north greenhouse is not attached, but I use it mainly for seedlings growing on.
Sunroom,10x20
Large greenhouse,16x32
Greenhouse, attached to the front of my garage, where the lotus are,10x10
Seedling greenhouse 8x10
Garden room, attached the west side of my home, where I sit and type on my pc,20x20
where my palms and ti plants are.
Heres the garden room, notice palms in the windows.

Thanks for the pics! I would really love to have a greenhouse someday one that is big enough to put a small pond in:) I hate how long winter is and would like to mess with a pond year round and have a green oasis.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Yes the greenhouse is what keeps me sane thru the winter, sitting at my computer looking into the greenhouse from my chair this is what I see!

Love your birds, especially Tango. I would love a conure but my cat Gonzo is a bird killer. Maybe someday!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Let me tell you that Tango is a lover,he likes getting on my shoulder then next to the side of my face and just rub back and fourth and making a little humming noise.
We have a little black cat, that gets on top of the bird cages and lays out over the top of the cage and takes a nap, birds don't seem to mind any as of yet,she has not tried to be aggressive with them in any way.
She just jumped up next to me and got in a box that some plants came in,so I took a pic!

Love the amazing looking birds. I don't know anything about birds but just love their colors. What kinds are they? That green color on Toto is fantastic!

I used to live in Australia and whenever I went in the rural areas on horseback I used to see the most amazing colors in birds like a box of crayola crayons-bright reds, greens and blues and yellows. They would follow the horses and land on the ground all around the horse hooves. The locals called them pests but I was jaw dropped . . .!

I love the birds too . Used to have a half moon conure , so sweet and talked up a storm . I hand raised her on the road , trucking . She loved all the drivers and they were so fond of her . When it got so cold and we were running up north so much , I let my son and his wife babysit her for the winter. My ddil spent her childhood in southern Mexico and had birds ,so it was a perfect choice .Her wings were clipped and she fell victim to a playful boxer pup they had . I have a blue crown now and he hates me .All he wants is for dh to pay attention to him, his name is Goofy.I had a cockatoo that was given to me and she bonded with a cousin of mine about two months after I got her so the only decent thing to do was let him have her. Her name was Dumplin and she was orange where Spike is yellow. Thanks for all the pictures . Digger

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Toto is a blue and gold Macaw
Sweetie is African Senegal
Tango is a Sun Cunyure
Vinne is a Severe Macaw
Yummy is a Goffin Cockatoo
Spike is a sulfur crested Cockatoo
And peanut is a yellow and peach Love bird and I didn't get a pic of her today!

Dahlonega, GA

What do you get if you cross Spike and Yummy? Does that happen? What do you call the cockatoo like I had , orange instead of yellow ?

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Don't know,we won't let them mate.
Yours I believe they call a Triton Cockatoo, those are very hard to come by,that was what I was wanting to get.
Yes you did the right thing by giving her to your cousin after they had bonded so well together,it's all in the name of happiness!!!

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

I think I recognize those guys from a thread at GWeb (security in the greenhouse?) I have an Amazon, Jenday Conure, and a Severe Macaw :)

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Don't know how I ever lived before I got my birds!!!
