Well, I made my first purchase from Dave's marketplace. (weather finally is getting warm enough to get plants!)
I had been looking at different things for sale over there and I was wondering if there is a forum or anyplace on the forum that describes what you can sell. Like books...does it have to be home and garden type books or can it be, lets say Mystery books...I read a lot of those. And I've learned to do some quilting and I was thinking I might make some holiday projects, small wall hangings, etc. Just can't find any guidelines of what one can sell. Also the 3% fee, how does that get paid? Maybe I just missed everything I was supposed to read, maybe I have to fill out the "sell an item" form to find this info out? Thanks for any help. tish
OT - selling stuff
Hello there my friend,There is a forum for marketplace questions, you could poke around there and see if you could find your answers. For your quilting things,I think they would go on the arts and crafts category.Books I believe there sticking with garden related things.Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.Check out this forum.See ya! ^_^

Congrats on your first purchase? What did you get?
As for what can be sold on the Marketplace, there has been discussions on what could be sold, and what not. Basically it was boiled down to "garden" and "home" items - flowers, plants, pots, garden tools, etc. I do not believe that mystery books would be accepted. If you go to the Marketplace and brows the Supplies category (it could be "other", not sure!), and you will see the type of items available.
As for the selling fees - Dave has not yet started to collect the fees. ^_^ He may be waiting to upgrade the Marketplace a bit first, or maybe he's waiting for some kind of threshold to be reached.
Haven't gotten it yet....supposed to be "in the mail" and on its way.
Thanks for the info you have.
And thanks Jan for the link, I swear, oops, I didn't swear, but I looked and looked earlier today and couldn't find this. I thought of calling you but I thought you would be outside...hope you had a good day today!
gonna go read it now ... tish
