I have really taken a liking to this brug. This is my first registered cultivar. I crossed it, grew it out and now I'm loving it. She really turned out to be a heavy bloomer. I guess she got that from her momma Painted Lady. She also got her dark coloring from her too. Her size however is definitely from daddy Salmon Perfection. Very nice powdery fragrance and medium on the size (which is good and bad because there will be limited cutting material even though she is a couple of years old). I think people will really appreciate this one for all her many qualities.
Jezebel in bloom again!
Gary, she's beautiful. Where does the line form for Jezebel? How's her heat tolerance?
She takes the heat well but I have noticed (and you can see in the picture) that some of the leaves at the tallest part of the plant are sunburned. She did well in an open spot until she grew above the shade trees. So I moved her into a more shaded location and she loves that. She grew very well over the summer so she is definitely heat tolerant but she likes a bit of shade like many brugs do. It's always a learning process when growing brugs from seed because you must identify their individual needs which may or may not be the same as either of the parents.
I noticed today that she had taken the pollen I put on her some weeks ago. I have a small pod with Monikas triple orange Herbstzauber and also with Lemon Meringue. Since both of the pollen donors are doubles and Jezebel, having Salmon Perfection in her parentage I would say that there is a very good chance of getting some nice double seedlings form these crosses.
Bettydee, Jezebel is now up for sale on ebay

Gary, I placed a bid on it, but it looks like I have competition.
