Your so funny! What did you order from TWL? Did you get your whole order of just the Lotus?

Athens, PA

Tropicman - that made me laugh.

Any pictures of your plants? I'd like to see them - I have only heard good things about the TWL co ops.

Yes,just lotus and got them all, just finished getting two 20 gallon tubs filled with composted cow manure and top soil and sand,1/3 of each, into the greenhouse, soaking with a little water, trying to get them saturated and warmed up,before I plant them.
Had to run to the hardware store and get a couple bags of pea gravel to lay on top.
Going to fix me a sandwich and wait until the soil warms up,before I plant them.
I have bought from TWL before and plant them in my bog/pond 300 gallons, but the koi eat them like they were candy, and they never return over the winter, this year there going in tubs!

I'll take pics when I go to plant them, after I eat my lunch.

I want a green house-Wahhhhhhhhh! I am so jealous! I recvd my lotus' today as well. I didn't read any info on planting (lately) and was just going to throw them into a bucket filled with water but saw that post you wrote about having them above the water line. I guess I better read before I plant. BTW; if they need to be above water what will I do next autumn-do I cut them back or not? I am going to put one in the pond and the rest into a bog-do I cut them back or not!????

If I remember never cut a stem or stalk below the water line,or it will kill the tuber.
Always cut above the water if you must cut them back,I don't.
What I mean to say is have the growing point above the soil line, not necessary to have above the water line, but I didn't want more than a inch of water so the soil will warm up faster getting as much root growth as possible before I bring outside for the season.
Carolyn22,the fragrance is out of this world!!!!!
