My co-worker says Bradford pear.

Tell your co-workers to keep their day jobs, Lavina. Bradford Pear is the one tree I know well....Used to have one outside my bedroom window, and I didn't have air-conditioning. The leaves do look like a fruit tree of some sort, don't they? So far everyone thinks Crabapple or maybe Cherry.
Hey, wait a minute...co-workers....what happened to retirement?
LOL I went back to work last March 31st. Me and Hubby got on each others nerves and it was easier for me to work.
I am now doing front end what I did back end for 36 years.
I work for the DSS .

Wouldn't it have just been easier to have an affair? I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Well, the money is nice to have, but I'm sorry you have to get up to an alarm clock again, Lavina. These days, a job is a good thing to have, though, that's for sure.
LOL Tax wise it was not good but I am still learning a lot.
I think you and Bonny both need a road trip to the coast one Friday or Saturday,.
Lavina
Heck, I think we need a month at the coast....!
That's got to be some kind of Pear. My neighbor has one blooming right now, and it's a dead match. I know last year, they gave me a couple of the pears and it was the hardest pear I'd ever tried to eat. They also have a plum tree, the plum tree blooms are much more delicate, this is not a plum tee.
That's interesting, and now I'm really intrigued, because I have several ancient pear trees in my yard, and they aren't blooming yet. I also have a young pear I planted three years ago, and it is not yet blooming, either. Could be a sun situation--mine are not ideally sited. Wow, I hope its a pear--I'm going to get some, as the wildlife seems to get all my fruit.
Their tree gets sun pretty much all day long. I'll be interested to see what your tree ends up giving you later in the year.
That bark and bud form etc definitely look like the one I see. I've pretty much decided its pear or crabapple or another fruit. Pear is in the lead, in my opinion, even though mine in my yard aren't blooming yet, and this tree is. Guess we'll have to wait and see what forms after the flowers.....
