Veggies growing in the garden

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I thought I'd post some photos of the veggies growing in the garden. Here is a lettuce plant, this one is Salad Bowl.
I have a beautiful red oak leaf that I should run out and take a pic of.

Cauliflower. I got a late start on these and they're just making heads.

Broccoli side shoots. I've never seen broccoli bear this long. I picked the main heads either late January or early February. The plant made side shoots and I picked those, then the side shoots made side shoots........they're still going.

Kohlrabi Kossack (I may have spelled that last part wrong). These are good, with a nice sweet flavor. I have purple ones too.

Mustard greens, this one is called Green Wave. I hadn't grown mustard in many years and remembered I didn't like the flat leaf kinds, but these are good.

Purple top turnips. Bud loves the turnip part, neither of us like the greens but I have several friends who do.

Virginia, we have 3+ acres that we mow and have a bagger. Everything gets composted with dry molasses added. The bottom of the pile is usually nice compost that feels like good dirt. The upper parts we use for mulch. When we add the mulch to the garden we add Espoma fertilizer, greensand and more dry molasses. The garden was tilled in November. The mulch keeps the soil crumbly and moist. I dug my potatoes with my hands! It shouldn't need tilled ever again. I'm also hoping the mulch will add organic matter to the soil as it decomposes since I'm too greedy with the garden space to grow a green manure crop.

Red turnips, these are Scarlet Queen from Johnny's. They're sweeter and juicier without the "bite" of the purple turnips. Carrots are growing beside them.
