Anybody know a Canadian source for heating cable, for using under plant flats to assist germination? I've tried looking up on search engines, but so far am only finding US sources. Any help appreciated.

If a heating mat will do, I finally found mine at a hydroponics store. It's big enough for 4 flats, whereas I could only find the small ones at gardener's supply stores. Perhaps the hydroponics supply would have the heating cables too. I'm not sure about online sources, though.

Well, at least that gives me some more places to look. What's sad is that there used to be a hydroponics place just a short distance from here and they went out of business just a few months ago, before I knew I'd be wanting a heat mat. That's life sometimes :-), but thanks for the tip !

Hi I found some heating cables at Rona.ca these are for your water line to keep it from freezing. Type in 'automatic heating tape' Hope this is what you are looking for.
