A question was asked a wall back, about rotting on cuttings. Here is one I found that the original cutting rotted but the new growth, which came up from under grown.

Sorry the picture is blurred , shaky hand day.

Every one start looking for buds. Just came in from watering the epis and I found another bud. That is a total of 5 buds on four plants. There is also another possible bud on a 5th plant but it is to early to tell for sure.

Wow and here I thought they took years to blooms from cuttings... are these new cuttings from this fall/winter?

They are from last summer. I was surprised also. The flowers will be undersized but hi after all the cold weather I will take what I get.

One bud fell off the Neon smile but I expected that. The cutting is to small for 1 much less 2.

I have a question-as the 4 with buds are all large cuttings from last year should I leave the buds on or take them off. I have never had any this young try to bloom. I was reading over on the Epiforum and even they could not agree.

I don't know but I would leave them on just so I could see them bloom LOL!
A few might fall off by themselves and maybe you would at least get to see one bloom.

I would like to but some on the epiforum said that they had the cuttings die. Oh well I think I will just chance it and wait. They are only four plants out of over 200.
