How feasible is strawberry growing in verticals for the Front Range of Colorado?
I know of many people who grow them in the ground around here, but none in vertical gardens... I've never grown strawberries, but am intrigued by the idea of using vertical planters since I went to a u-pick-em outfit in California and saw them grown that way there.
Can the plants overwinter; if so, how do you deal with the runners and can you let them fruit the first year? If they can't overwinter, how do they do as annuals?
If anyone has successfully done this in this area, I'd be very interested in copying what has worked.
Thanks.
