I've popped onto this website several times over the years, and always liked it. 4 years ago I discovered Carnivorous Plants, and I am absolutely addicted. Would love to have a local group (Most of our local groups are no longer in existence). I live in Tampa.
I have a few succulents. Anything that is unusual in shape or color.
I also keep fish, and have Utricularia growing in my fish tanks (should not be possible), and I pull it out by the handful every now and then. I grow plants in all my tanks -- mostly for the enjoyment of my fish, so they are not pretty tanks.
This year I am planting a vegetable garden and have been looking for information, and I figured this would be a great place to find out more.
I am a beginner with plants, but I do know a bit about carnivorous plants. I grow about forty species and have about 100-200 plants (depending on the season). I grow Sarracenia (American Pitcher), Drosera (Sundews), Pinguicula (Butterworts), Utricularia (Bladderworts), Nepenthes (Asian Pitcher Plants), Australian Pitcher Plants and Venus Flytraps. My favorites are the Sundews. I teach classes for beginners at the library and in the past I taught a class called "Sarracenia Autopsy" at the Botanical Gardens. :) I am not great with Scientific Names, but understand the purpose. :)
So happy to be here. I will spend a lot of time in the CP forum, and will learn lots, I know. Thanks. :)
PS Tried to remove the image because it isn't in focus, but it didn't work. Sorry, I will work on a better images in the future.

Yep, if you miss a day, it takes hours to catch up. Sometimes I've had as many as 27 threads that are open. :)
