Violet therapy

South, TX

Violet therapy made my morning go by better today. I am having kidney stone/bladder problems again. Awful. I will see my Urologist Wednesday.

I felt OK this morning so Fred, my son and his fiancee' went to Fred's parents' home. That is two hours away. She is visiting from El Paso. I started feeling worse so I called my sister. We always talk to each other. Well, I decided to repot violets for hours! Kept my mind off of the pain. I got a LOT done. I then took a HOT bath. Now I am on my heating pad. I hope to get a nap soon.

Thanks, Violets!

I just finished my 2nd nap today (that is what I do when I am tired or don't feel good). I wasn't even feeling bad..........just lazy. Hope you feel perkier as the day goes by. Nothing better than plant therapy.

I did get a nap thank goodness. I can't wait for Fred to get home. Always makes me feel better. My sis just called to check on me again.

Sally,

I'm so sorry to hear that you are having health issues again, but glad that you have all those beautiful plants to play with, to help keep your mind off of the discomfort. You are a great grower, and photographer as well. Your photo's are always wonderful and the one above of Wrangler's Gaudy Lady is really stunning!

Feel better soon,

Lin

Violets to the rescue! I can't tell you the number of times in the past year, when I have been at the end of my rope, my violets, or my violet friends have pulled me back from the edge. Gardening has the same effect if one is physically capable and has a garden. There's just something about communicating with mother nature that puts everything in the proper perspective. I hope you are feeling better Sally. I should also add that there have been many times that your pics have brightened my day!

That's a beautiful flower, Sally and a great photo...thanks for sharing it. Sounds like a lousy day body-wise but what a positive spin you took with it. Aren't plants wonderful for that? My great niece came over today (almost 3) and we watered plants and put down leaves. I told her when the leaves make babies, she can have her very own AV! She loves to garden already. She says the seeds are asleep and when they sprout, she says they woke up. I have a bunch of sprouts going and she said, "look, they are dancing!" LOL... Makes me see the joy of it, especially through her eyes.

Hope you feel better soon,
Jacki

Jacki,

That's a wonderful story about your great niece! Isn't it wonderful seeing things through a child's eyes?

How are you doing Sally?

Worse! I can't wait to see the urologist. Lots going on. I ache all over now, even my face/ jaw has something going on. Maybe a salivary thing. I HOPE it is all tied to the Urinary Infection and kidney stones. I am miserable.

I see my reg. doctor on Thursday. I can't wait to get better. It has been a long week or so.

Here is a pic of my noid I got 3 years ago. This is the first year it's bloomed nearly white. You can see a little purple when it's first budding. I could have sworn [although I don't] it was a mauve when I got it half dead.
