Clivia with double bloom

Dandridge, TN(Zone 6a)

My old Clivia decided to throw up two blooms, I think it's the first time it has two of them, and a stalk with seeds! The flowers are really brightening up our gloomy days.

Here's the flowers up close... it's just the plain old Clivia miniata but it sure is pretty to me.

Mine are in the ground, too. This is from last year.

But, I've never gotten two spikes.

Congratulations!
And, although it is an ordinary C.miniata it looks like a rather good clone thereof :)

Johannesburg, South Africa

Clivias multiply well and a friend of mine has a lovely Clivia gardenii that has 4 flower spikes on it at the moment. Gardenii flowers in winter - we don't have snow in winter, or very little. I could get some seed if anyone wanted them. Take a long time to ripen, but may get some of last years. September is the big Clivia flowering time here in South Africa.
