How was your day...135 ??

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

We are just beginning to see the end of some very nice rainfall here. So far we have had over 4" fall this week..its also been very cold, only in the 40's..after a few days of 80's earlier in the week..well, we will take it..we need the rain. It will start warming up now and then things should start jumping out of the ground..

I bought some pepper plants today, will get them out as soon as possible. They looked a little pitiful at the store, they were cold, so when I brought them home, I popped them onto a heating pad to warm up their little roots. They should be happier tomorrow.

Npt much going on here during the monsoons. Good days to stay inside, make soup and watch tv or read. I did finally get to the store today to re-stock the refrigerator. Even the kitty crew have been laying around not doing much...'cept Floozy, she is a feline pest of the first degree..follows me around like a shadow just to try annoy me when I sit down..by begging for treats or pats on the back or any kind of attention..such a spoiled little girl..

Here is the forsythia before the rain..these are new plants, first year to bloom..
