Problem with Windows Photo Gallery

Can someone tell me why I keep getting this error when trying to "fix" my pictures in Windows Photo Gallery? It's been doing this for about a week. I have Vista just in case you need to know that.
Thanks in advance.

Error message:

"Changes to this picture can't be saved because Windows Photo Gallery has experienced a problem."
