This used to be my tomato-melon garden etc. I'll be able to use it again when they finish the grading and landscaping. It will be good for my melons as they like to grow downhill.
Here Is What I'm Up Against!
I don't understand..Why the drain.& why so low.?????????
Hmmm, looks to me like a row of EBs would fit nicely and still leave plenty of room.
Well then you be careful Ted..
I do know about Florida rains ( a little ) Must not have enough open land around you would be my guess
Will you put steps of some sort to get in & out of that area??
Didn't you say you would have more space when they were finished???

Ted the last pic explains the open area question..DUH..LOL
Looks like they're bringing you some nice topsoil at least!
Oh yeah! That will be for the sod. I'll use coco coir for everything else. They told me to help myself but I use coir now and nothing else.
Ted, it's all coming together slowly. What is the lovely little tree in the half wine barrel?
will they fence so scooter can go out alone?
Devota & Araness -- First off the tree is a Jasmine that I trained to be so. I have two of them and araness Scooter will not leave our property line. She is a real good girl that will not sit still just now as she is in my lap ,as usual, while I'm trying to type.
TPlant: That is the reason I moved up here where I am, I wanted a little land with my place. My dad was disappointed with 10 acres with his one house, I got nearly an acre. They have this double wide (3 bdrom/2 bath) just a few years older than mine on 5 acres about 2 blocks away for around $60,000. I've had thoughts of selling this one and buying that one; but, I've already invested too much into this one.
joy
Looking forward to seeing how you survive all this, Ted. Pictures tell the story about what a fix you have been in.
They are finishing the sod today so I should be able to start tomorrow after I repair my car's leaking radiator. Had to buy a new radiator. Better than buying a new car! The place looks beautiful so far but they still have to remove the construction fence to open up our given property which is far more than we had before. They are planting shrubs all around.
Ted, did any of this hurt your palm trees?

No! As a matter of fact they planted seven more palms, plus shrubs up my walkway and around my deck plus an underground sprinkler system for the entire area. However I can not reset my EBs where they were until an inspector approves the work according to the plans but I'll be able to set out my pepper seedlings out in my EBs as soon as they move the former construction office and sod that area as the dust will do no good for my bronchitis. I'll be taking pictures as the place really looks good. Also must stain the deck after the dust is gone. Will use Thompson Wood Sealer. The deck is my favorite place to be but have not been able to use it because of the dust. You should see my dusty cars? Impossible to keep clean...
I,m looking forward to pix of the "New Garden" Ted.
