anyone have plans for a play house ?

springfield area, MO(Zone 5b)

I thought I would post this here, since I think many of you have built small sheds, buildings ect?
I am looking for plans to build a small- 6x6 playhouse. I would like it to have a flat roof? and a wooden floor in it, three sided or at least three and a half sided lol so the front is really open alot. Basically a shed type thing. Very easy to build.
I have lumber, I just don't know how to do anything like that, and DH is clueless. totally.
any ideas?
I looked at Lowes at some books for playhouses, but they were way to elaborate, and fancy for what we want. It would basically be a place to put a few toys, sit down in and be out of the sun.
Our son is mentally retarded, and he is 12 now, so he still does not climb or anything like that. He just sits and plays with odd things like spatulas and rubber snakes mostly!

Oh that project sounds fun! Every child loves the playhouse. My DH built ours himself with ne experience either. We did not buy plans or anything I got ours online. I will fish around to see if I can find the place we used. Have a great day!!! Jeanmarie :D

Check out the book "How to Build Small Barns & Outbuildings". Chock full of clear drawings, plans, and photos this good book proceeds with the premise that everything needs to be explained.

I've got a brother who is severely autistic and physically challenged as well, but one of the things he really enjoyed as a boy was pounding nails and sawing wood. We'd draw lines and make dots for the nails, hold the boards while he would bang away. No power tools of course. =0) Took 4x as long, but that's not the point, is it?

Show us your progress and son with his new 'toy garage'.
