Hi All,
Have been reading ALL the groups for a couple of months but never had anything to say since I know absolutely nothing about gardening.
Live in Florida in zone 9b. Just retired and, faced with a totally bare yard, put in 2 small shaped island beds. The plants I used were chosen from the list of plants people recommended in the Xeriscaping forum. I'm so surprised that after 5 weeks they're still growing!!!Does that mean I'm becoming a gardner?
Can't believe just how much I've learned here and how great EVERYONE is! Think I'll stick around for a long time.

De-Lurking
Hatch, welcome. I'd say if you've kept plants alive for five months, indeed you are a bona fide gardener, LOL! Glad to meet you!
Not only does that make you a gardener but it makes you a sucessful gardener! Welcome and glad ya decided to delurk!
Hi Hatch! I just joined today but gotta tell ya, if you keep a plant alive for 24 hrs. that's a gardener to me. If you haven't already, try a duranta or two. They're sooo easy and wonderful. Just love em. Glad you de-lurked!
