CLOSED: Is this a mediterranean gull?

Saw this bird today at the Queen Elizabeth park at Woodhorn.

Sorry, nope! Black-headed Gull. Note the black wingtips, and the dark brown (not black!) hood.

Newbiggin is the place to go for Med Gulls, take some bread and head for the main car park at Church Point. There were still at least 4 there yesterday; I had 8 there on 24 Feb. Look out for white wingtips with no black, and a slightly bigger bird (nearly Common Gull size). Plenty of Black-headeds to look through too, of course!
