I've been reading this forum for some time and wanted to know your opinions on Brugmansia 'Angel's Summer Dream'. I went to Logee's website and they want $29.95 for this plant and their shipping is very expensive too. I really like the look of this dwarf plant, but I was wondering if there are similar plants which aren't so pricey. I'm no cheap skate, but this thing was going to be over 40 dollars for a single plant. This being my first Brugmansia, I don't want to risk that much money. I think a smaller plant like this would be fun to grow, however.

There are many others that stay small.Joli,Orange Sunshine, and several of the doubles
to mention just a few.Small is relative of course. To me it means any brug that stays under 4 feet.Shop around some and you will find many nice ones for much less.
I searched for Orange Sunshine and Joli. I found one place that charges $49.95 for one plant. What is a normal price for these types of Brugmansias? I'm new to growing these and have no idea what the prices generally should be. Can anyone recommend good sources for these?
Check the Marketplace here at Dave's.We sell both of those mentioned but are sold out of both now.As far as I know, all the Marketplace sellers can be trusted.Prices will range from under 10.00 and up depending on the rarity of the variety.Neither of those mentioned are rare.
Maybe some others will check in with some more small ones.
Thanks for your help. I knew the prices I was seeing were too high. LOL.
Angel's Summer Dream sort of resembles Inca Sun. I thought I remember seeing that it was an Inca Sun cross. Inca sun stays small and blooms often.

You can surely get a couple of less expencive brugs. and with the felco pruners..available for $25 keep a smaller more compact brug.. and still be in for under the $40..
Will the larger plants bloom a lot if you keep them pruned short? I just want to make sure I don't have to grow something 8 feet tall and bring that in each winter. I want something like the one 'Angel's Summer Dream' in appearance. That plant won a Green Thumb Award, whatever that means. The price wouldn't be so bad if they didn't charge over 20 dollars for shipping. Are there other sources for shorter varieties of brugmansia?
