This is a gorgeous plant, the colors are perfect. I hope mine grows as good.

"Nightfire" grows well, but slower than the average tropical hibiscus plant. The blue and red coloration is nice. The most vivid blooms occur during cool winter days when the temperatures remain in the 60's. The warm weather blooms (80 degrees or higher) produce the same colors, but they're not quite as vivid as the coloration in this photo.

wow, gorgeous!! I live in zone 5a, would they be good in the house in a warm south facing window?

They will overwinter well inside the house. The chances of the plant still producing blooms would be highest in a South facing window. My parents overwinter a few hybrid tropical hibiscus in Zone 5B. They're in a west facing window. The plants remain healthy, but do not bloom during the winter months. They keep the plants outside during the warmer frost free months. They're moved outside around Memorial Day and begin to put out some blooms by mid July and then bloom off and on the rest of the summer.
