Pink Charm in full flush today

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

It's easy to see why Pink Charm became a favorite in my yard so quickly. Flushes like this are very common. The fragrant blooms are usually a nice dark pink and set pods quite easily.
You see some of my 2009 pods in the picture.

That is beautiful, I envy the fact you can have blooms like that in your garden at this time of the year, I am now thinking of bringing mine up from the basement.

My friend at work saw me looking at these and asked, "Who would want those things? The blooms are hanging down!"

WOW! That is all I can say about all those blooms! ^_^

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

can I ask a 'newbie' question? why do some of the blooms look like they are tied off?

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

They've been pollinated and I didn't want the bees to get in there and contaminate the cross.

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

ah. Thanks for explaining it to me. I kinda figured it had something to do with pollination, but thought I'd ask anyway
