owls in northwest indiana??

Hi there! I am really interested in attracting owls to my backyard and I'm pretty sure I've heard them a few times here and there. However, I can't seem to find much info on what type IF ANY should be in my area. I'm wondering if anyone could help me figure this out, the owl boxes seem to be specific to the species and I'd like to focus on what gives me the best chance to attract one of these beautiful owls! I live in Northwest Indiana, on a partially wooded acre lot with a pond in a subdivision. The neighborhood is in a small town but on the edge of farmland and wooded areas. Thanks to any of you bird lovers out there who can help!
