So how do you guys have your bottom drains set up? Right now I am manually flushing my drain with a gate valve into a small settlement pond. I was going to hook up an external pump after that but because I built it so small I think I will have draw down issues with the pump.
Does anyone run their bottom drain straight to their leaf basket/pump and then to their filter? I guess this isn't the best way but it sure seems like it would be much easier. Also, is your set up above or below ground? I think it would be easier to do above ground but I've read it is harder to prime the pump, plus the pump has to work harder. I really hate the plumbing part of ponding:(
