I put in 53 eggs 23 days ago and here is what my guys and gals have made. I know who the dominate roo's are out there. The Jersey Giants. I have 44 chicks and 1 more just started pipping this morning. They were destined to the garbage till I hear it chirp.
I though chickens took 28 days or something like that.

another isnt she so pretty, now just to figure out who made her. Was it the blue hen or the black hen, with the blue, splash or black roo. Get them separated soon and maybe by the next hatch time I can get it figured out.
chickens are 21 days ducks are 28 days.

well they are muffed and bearded but if they are true Americana's or not who knows. I just call them Easter Eggers.
Not a problem at all on the day thing. I would not know if I wasnt hatching. Ihave probably about 130 eggs ready to go into the incubator tonight. Dang people wanting eating eggs is disturbing my urge to hatch hatch hatch.
