AAAAhhhhhhh....whine...whine...whine

Ashland City, TN

I am so nervous I am about to make myself sick!! I mailed my face jug today. It took me an hour to pack it and now I am a nervous wreck hoping it will arrive safely. I insured it for 150 but you know the post office!! UPS wanted 34 dollars just to pack the thing and another 30 something to mail it!! I only sold the piece for $99 something and that included the $20 for shipping!!! I packed it myself for $8 and mailed it at the post office for 21.50 (including the insurance)!!! I had a lot of the packing material around the house and with moving as much as I have moved I KNOW how to pack! I will be glad when the “Gambler” (what an appropriate name) arrives so I can find out how THIS story will end!!!

Then, to make matters worse…I have a girl coming out tomorrow to look at my ceramic molds, large oval kiln and mechanical pouring table (mechanical meaning it has a hose hooked up to it that you pump the slip through into the very big molds. She is very “bossy” and has now hinted that she does not believe I have 1200 molds – she looked at them a couple of days ago. I moved every one of those molds. I know how many I have…I counted them. Maybe not exactly but if I am wrong it is closer to 1400 molds!!! UUggg…I recommit myself to becoming a total recluse more and more every day!! If I didn’t need the room in my storage buildings – I have 2 that are full of molds…I wouldn’t bother selling them. The thing is I don’t use but maybe 50 to 100 of them…if that!! Boy what a day I am ssssoooo bummed!!!

But on a good note…I did find “Buddy” a good home today (he’s the white dog that was so perfect). The new owners are a young couple and Buddy loved all over them! They seem kind. I think I will drop off a big bag of dog food once a month so that I can check up on him now and then. They have a big back yard but the man (Tim) said he wants Buddy to be an indoor dog. ALSO, I finished painting my kitchen. I also finished making the fake bricks to finish the wall on the sink side of the room. Now I just have to go to Lowes tomorrow and pick up some more adhesive and I WILL FINALLY FINISH MY KITCHEN….which I started about 8 months ago 1 project down – 10 more to go…sigh…And last but not least…I bought 13 packages of veggie seeds today!!! Oh boy did that help my winter blues!! I have visions of this glorious veggie garden this year. Problem is my land is rocky and I usually dig the garden myself cause I don’t like the way the “little tillers” turn the dirt. And it is way too expensive to have someone come out and do a big job for you….though I might just hire a back hole person and have him dig the koi pond (so far I have dug that by hand), the garden AND a hole for a storm shed/root seller all in one! Think he can do all that in 2 hours It’s only about $135 for 2 hours.

Well, thanks for letting me vent …I feel better especially since my hubby is sick and asleep right now and I have no one to share my “fears and expectations” with tonight except you lucky DG friends

HHuuummm…I wonder if we have a “forum for venting” anywhere??? Your turn!!
