I got a new plant today

Coffs Harbour, Australia

Thought I'd share a photo with you. I probably wouldn't have chosen it in a million years, but as it was offered to me free, I gladly accepted. I re-potted it (it had tipped over and was growing sideways ((should stick it to a tree)), and I now feel it is quite a lovely thing.
It's Nidularium campos-portoi (AKA Wittrockia campos-portoi)

It is lovely indeed! Such neat thin leaves. I wonder if it will get redder with more light. And you have a pup already! You cannot beat that price!

It was a good price wasn't it? he, he.
Aparently it is green most of the year, so not a good seller untill it colours up (alot of Neos are the same) The flower looks to be fairly advanced, so maybe will research it a bit before deciding on a final planting site.
Yes, thrilled it has a pup. I always know I have a spare that way!

I bought a neo today, not free sadly. I will take a pic tomorrow. I had an exciting brom day though I was taken to the cleaners too!

ha, ha! Its very easy to do. Its definitely an addiction, although i don't think I would rob my Grandma to buy a brom......or would I?

This is one I bought last weekend at the plant fair. The vendor thought it was Neoregelia 'Lorena' but i don't think so. If anyone has any sugesstions, feel free to chime in!

I also bought this one, Neoregelia 'Fanfare' and will be interested to see what colour I can achieve under high light! Its only small, so i think it will be a medium grower.

Both are just stunning. I love Fanfare esp.

I have some pics for you too but no time to get them gathered. I have been to a plant show for 2 days and I also was at a flroist who had a living wall with bromeliads. I hope to get them together for you this weekend. I am off for the day again. Talk later.

Excellent Kell. I can't wait to see your pics. I think us bromeliad lovers are definitely visual people.
i have seen some bromeliad walls (only in photos) and would love to do one of my own. Don't forget instructions, he he.
