Many of you know of Madalene Hill and her daughter, Gwen Barclay, those walking encyclopedias of all things herbal. In case you haven't gotten the news from other sources, I'm sorry to let you know that Madalene passed away yesterday at the age of 93 after a brief illness. I just wonder what will happen at Round Top. I really like going there to see what is going on. It has really built up from when I first started going up there. It is a great loss, but she lived a good life, doing what she enjoyed. She will be missed.
I'm sure glad I got them to autograph their book for me now. They used to have the best restaurant in round rock for the annual music festival.

She was a wonderful woman and I'm happy I was able to take some of her classes to learn from her. I cherish her book and her memory.
