dividing begonias

Northern, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have a really nice 1 year old (to me) River Nile begonia that looks a little crowded in the small pot.
It seems to have 2 crowns,
Can I cut it apart at the center and get 2 plants?

I would do this without hesitation on most of my outdoor perennials but I'm unsure here and don't want to lose the begonia,
just would love to have 2.

You sure can. River Nile is one of the easiest to start from a leaf too.

Thanks hcmcdole, I'll do that right away.
I'm more hesitant about the leaf reproduction but will research the requirements.

I just had to show how beautifully the begonia divided.
I got 2 full plants out of my 1 original and you can barely tell they were divided.
