This beautiful Red-tailed Hawk still is showing some yellow on its bill. I'm wondering just how young they are when they are still showing this yellow; or in other words how old are they when they lose the yellow? For the life of me I can not find what this yellow bill in baby birds is called. Does anybody know or have a guide book that gives it a name?

If Resin doesn't find it first I'll look tomorrow.

I googled for the name before I posted and all I saw was someone called them "yellow lips" lol
Gape, or flanges, are two words I've seen used.
