Therapy for After Affects- riding on hard surfaces

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

Hi everybody..

There's going to be a local open show here in about two months. Right now, I'm planning on taking Romeo.

I have seen the arena surface the show is on, and it's dirt, but really really hard. I would plan on showing in about four or five classes, so the ride time could be significant. When asked if I would show, I replied, "Yes, but only if leg wraps are allowed in some fashion. I'll probably use polos on all four, and if someone wants to watch me wrap, that's fine. I won't ride him on a hard surface without some sort of tendon support. I want a sound horse long-term, not just for one show."

So, if I attend & participate, what kind of after-assistance can I provide him to prevent injury??

Thanks,
Jennifer & Romeo
