Finally potting my cuttings.....those that survived

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

I managed to let most of my cuttings die while I had the flu this winter.. the moss dried out while I was sick and so did the cuttings. Those that survived are finally getting potted up and will get a chance to really grow. I am adding the watersorb polymer crystals to the soil so if I forget to water them at least they will have a better chance of living until I remember to water them this time. I have started an interest thread in the co-ops for the crystals this year. I have about 30 pounds of them still in the garage right now and am waiting on current prices from watersorb. Without that stuff, I have to water my larger potted plants 3 times per day in the summer.... I can keep it down to once per day with it. I hope everyone else had better luck with their cuttings than I did. That flu just kept me down too long and the last thing on my mind was watering plants. If it were not for the cat insisting on being fed... the dogs would have starved because they were quiet about it and I just fed them at the same time. Great dogs.. they were sooo good while I was sick!

Tammie, I'm so sorry to hear you had the flu. It's no fun. I sympathize with you over what happened to your Brug Cuttings. I lost most of my Brugs late summer of '07 because of my health. I bought a bunch of cuttings early last year and have duplicates of some. I'll check and D-mail you in a few days. I hope you're feeling better now.
