Where's grannymarsh?

Kalamazoo, MI

Hi granny,
I usually just lurk and find out what's going on with everyone. Where have you been? I hope everything's all right. I LOVE the UP so I always read what you have to say.

Pretty busy with work this month, but I check in on what's going on with everyone every morning. Last night I dreamed that spring went by so fast that the summer perennials were all in bloom before the Siberian iris and peonies. Guess winter is driving me a bit nuts! LOL

Hey & Yah from da U.P. We've had a bit of snow this winter, we might be on the downhill slide, I think I saw the sun today, it that what that bright thing was in the sky? Snow should be gone by May. It's time to cut some forsythia branches and bring them in to bloom. I'm dreaming of Iris & Dahlias. And green beans and juicy strawberries. The black flies are in my dreams too, but that would be the not-so-good dreams.
I have relatives in Macomb, they have a large Farm Market on 23 mile & Card road. I also have cousins in Warren.

Oh I have not seen any robins yet.... Some bird for the state bird huh? They are snow birds!!! I think it should be the Cardinal or a chickadee. At least they stay for the winter!

Sanford, MI(Zone 5a)

detheo, that would be them !! Hardest working bunch of people I ever knew. It's been the family farm for 70-80 years at least. God Bless them. They brought 2 hanging baskets of fiberous begonias for my Mom's 90th birthday last year and they were absolutely stunning. And some heirloom tomato plants, from seeds that had been handed down from the great-great Grandpa. (dziadzio) which is Polish for Grandpa.

small world granny isn't it...they do have wonderful everything over there ^_^
I was just telling my friend that I can't wait to get out and go greenhouse hopping together...she agreed as well...I know they are putting up some type of new shed or something over there...it was in the small paper here I read so I was glad to hear that they won't be closing or anything like that! I sure hope they can keep going with the way the economy is...I hope they ALL can keep going...it's been so sad to see everything closing up around here because of no business....my husband has a repair shop and we're hanging on to....very worrisome to say the least but I just keep praying and have faith in God that He will bring up through this storm....

Kinda gloomy out today...I was hoping for some sunshine along with the 47 degrees today....but I'll take it cause it could be negative 47 out ^_^

Have a great day everyone!

They'll be there Gloria keep a lookout!
