Another strange question on Morning Glory's

(Zone 4a)

How do you think they would do in hanging pots? I have always wanted to try them to see them hang over the pots but I have never actually seen it done. It is because they like to grow upward? Can this be done? I am just trying to get new ideas here for some hanging pots and stuff.

Just disregard this one....I also posted on MG forum and I don't think it would work very well......

Here is what mine did in 2002 when I put them in hanging pots. They were hard to get to, so I never did anything but water them. Whether it worked well or not?...it was fun.

I started morning glories inside five weeks ago and then pinched them back two weeks ago and well I got a big surprise this morning when I found this

when we were children (Yes, they had morning glories way back then!) we used to plant the seeds in pots indoors and let them grow up around the kitchen window. They would bloom all summer long and gave us kids a real sense of accomplishment. I don't know of them being trained to grow hanging down though.

they dont even when planted in a hanging pot they grow up no matter what
and if I remember right when they can no longer go up they tangle for a while and then go up from there had them on a fence and that is what they did just tangled above the fence
